About CalcMyMaterials
Free calculators for how much material you need — and what it costs.
What this site is
CalcMyMaterials answers two questions for home and construction projects: how much material do I need, and what will it cost. It offers 14 free, instant calculators — concrete, gravel, mulch, asphalt, sand, topsoil, pavers, decking, fencing, drywall, paint, tile, rebar and retaining walls — each returning the exact quantity to buy (waste included), a material cost range, and a regionally adjusted installed-cost estimate for every US state. No sign-up, no paywall.
Why you can trust the numbers
Every figure is computed, not copywritten: geometry × published material constants × national-average price bands, scaled by per-state cost factors. The engine is deterministic — the same inputs always give the same answer — and the constants, sources and formulas are public on the methodology and material reference pages. Prices are 2026 planning ranges refreshed from supplier data and the BLS Producer Price Index, never single false-precision figures.
Reuse & citation
Our figures are free to quote with attribution and a link — see citing our data. Machine-readable summaries live at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt.
