How much mulch do I need?
Enter your bed's length, width and depth — 2–3 inches is the sweet spot for weed control without smothering roots. The calculator returns cubic yards for bulk delivery and the equivalent count of standard 2 cubic foot bags.
One cubic yard covers about 108 square feet at 3 inches. Rubber mulch is sold in smaller bags but the volume math is identical — enter the same dimensions and convert bags by your product's cubic-foot rating.

cubic yards = (length ft × width ft × depth in ÷ 12) ÷ 27, + 5% waste

The standard bag is 2 cubic feet (some economy bags are 1.5). At 3 inches deep, a 2 cubic foot bag covers about 8 square feet.
