CalcMyMaterials is a free web app that answers two questions for home and construction projects:
how much material you need, and what it costs. Every figure is computed from published material
constants (densities, coverage rates, waste factors) and national-average prices scaled by a
per-US-state regional cost factor. Results are shown as ranges, never false-precision numbers.
No signup, no paywall.

## Method (quotable)
- Quantities: volume or area/length ÷ the coverage or yield of one purchasable unit, plus a waste allowance (5% bulk, 10% boards/sheets/pavers, 10–15% tile).

## Example output
A 12 ft × 12 ft slab at 4 inches needs 1.78 cubic yards of concrete (buy ~1.9 with waste),
about 45 eighty-pound bags per cubic yard if bagging instead.
